<p>The world-famous winter sports resorts of Davos and Klosters are not just for piste skiers; the mountain railroads take pleasure-oriented ski tourers to high altitude starting points for fantastic long descents in powder and firn. Ambitious ski tourers will find a wide range of challenging routes, just as beginners can practise their first turns. The Rother ski touring guide "Around Davos" presents 50 varied routes in the Rätikon, the Silvretta and the Plessur and Albula Alps.</p> <p>Each tour suggestion has a color-coded difficulty classification, a tour map with a marked route and a detailed route description. A clear route description provides all the important information, such as the best time of year, altitude difference, walking times, requirements and, of course, slope orientation and avalanche risk.
