Status of compliance with requirements

Bergzeit is continuously working to make its online shop accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act ( BFSG ) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA .

Currently, the website is only partially compliant with the above requirements due to the incompatibilities listed below.

Inaccessible content

Despite our efforts, there are still areas that are not fully accessible. We are actively working to address the following identified shortcomings:

1. Names and labels: Some interactive buttons (e.g., the close button of the promotion bar) do not yet have a name accessible to screen readers.

2. Forms: The input field for the mobile search is currently not correctly linked to a label, which can make navigation difficult for assistive devices.

3. Links and teasers: In some cases, image links (teasers) do not yet have sufficiently informative text alternatives.

4. Controls: The color selection elements (swatches) in the product overview are currently not labelled in a way that is optimized for all assistive technologies.
